HUGGEMON WEEK 6

Activity

Written instructions:

Materials:
Container for water
Floating objects (fish, animals, etc.)
Sharpie
Scoop, net, etc.
Pencil and paper

Steps:
1. Fill container with water.
2. Number floating objects from 1-10.
3. Put objects in water (you can add other objects, like rocks).
4. Have kiddos take a scoop or net (or any other tools they want to use) to scoop objects out of the water.
5. Have kids add up the numbers on the floating objects.
6. If you want to add plastic to the water, this is a good way for kids to learn about plastic pollution and its effect on animals and their habitat.
7. You can ask your kids questions like, “What would happen if they used a net instead of a scoop?” or “What if they had to fly to pick up food?”
8. You can also make it a friendly competition between the kids.
